Catamarans BALI is another brand of the famous and respected CATANA shipyard. Why they are bought as one of the best models of a cruise sailing catamaran all over the world?
About three years ago the line of Bali catamarans was launched in three sizes: 4.0, 4.3 and 4.5. This caused a real furor in the shipbuilding industry, as more than 15 different innovations that had never been done before were used in the construction. Three years have passed, 148 boats have been built, and the owner of the Catana Olivier Poncin has received awards from many professionals and consumers for innovation. What caused this kind of love for the Bali brand and why did it work so well?
History of the Bali catamaran
The Catana shipyard has always been constantly successful in the PERFORMANCE class. Catana catamarans are the flagship of high-speed multihulls. However, a few years ago Olivier Poncin decided to start the production of fast, light and maneuverable CRUISING catamarans also. The market research showed that it won't be easy to keep up with the leaders. From the start, the new Catana catamaran had to compete with such brands as Lagoon, Leopard and Fountaine Pajot, which densely split the market among themselves. It was also necessary to take into account important financial aspect: the catamaran should have been designed so that one of the marketing advantages of the new brand would be its price.
Thus, Olivier Poncin took upon hisself the difficult task of developing a 100% modern catamaran with innovative design and unpopular sometimes even controversial concepts. As the result of this work the stunning and very successful line of catamarans was the released in 2014. It received the name Bali.

The Bali collection has an atypical design – it consists of three parts, has no mesh in the front cockpit, open-space interior, huge refrigerator in the inner cockpit, a floating platform for swimming and a lot of the other unique features. That's why already in 2015 Bali becomes the best in their class. Today catamarans of the famous Catana shipyard are bought all over the world as one of the best and most comfortable of cruise sailing catamaran models. Bali has a reputation for strong, fast, seaworthy, and a true sailing boat with a playful character.
